Good, but could be better
Started using this after I had a text msg from Tesco telling me that I had used up all my data. Since I never go beyond the house WiFi I was shocked- so called Tesco mobile. They were so helpful and not only told me what had caused this but how to prevent it occurring again; in fact the service operator told me to carry out her advice (to switch off 'use mobile data' from a particular section of my phone settings) right then while I was talking to her. She told me about this app and how I could keep track of my usage and I have been using it daily since. It is very good for giving you a heads up of what your phone might be doing without your knowledge so excellent if you change your phone and don't go through every single app and setting to check on data use (mobile access ? if you don't really need it, turn off the mobile data ).
The only niggle is that it is a little slow to show any additional payments for more data you have made (but it still shows within 24 hours) and you can't see your safety buffer (perhaps for security reasons?).
Overall, it is easy to use and makes me feel like I am back in control so I would recommend getting it if you are a Tesco customer. You can see at a glance how many minutes you have used - phone, text and how much data you have used. Brilliant!

I recently went to Spain. Were I experienced what happened to me and TESCO MOBILE, as disgraceful!!! I never been so scared and alone in all my life. I tried for most of the day to try and top up, as by your messages I had to do. Otherwise I would not be able to use my PHONE ! Nothing to lots of people. But I am Disabled , recovering from multiple strokes among a few of my illnesses! I repeatedly kept typing this to you. All I got in return was we cannot top up and I must use top up line ! YES I’ve been very I’ll always will suffer and struggle more than most, but I really am disgusted in the way I have been treated by TESCO MOBILE!!! At the end of the day when I was in tiers. I with help from strangers and staff, managed to get hold of a person called Swati ! He managed to to my buffer up on line. Why could this not been done earlier in the day. I have never felt so scared and frightened in my life. I couldn’t even phone my family back home to ask for there help. To add to this you kept upping my bill ! Never have been so disappointed and discussed in TESCO before !!!
While the app displays how much data, texts and minutes have been used, it is rarely correct as it only updates every few days. As a result you are not aware how much data etc you actually have left at any given time, until you receive a warning text when down to 50MB left. Tesco will know exactly what the usage has been at any time, so why can’t the end user be informed? With modern technology that should be no problem. Until recently the time and date of the last update was stated. That has now been removed. Why?
Would you please rectify this problem then my rating of the app would be “5” instead of the “2” I have given it today.
Although my phone is on “family sharing”, I see no reason why all users can’t have current information.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
