Ratings and Reviews
Over complicated but some improvements
The previous app was much simpler, you could swipe between accounts, making viewing transactions much quicker, and the main menu options were on the bottom, making it possible to do things with one ‘click’. You’ve now made it so you gave to complete more steps/‘clicks’ to do the same action now you’ve put a menu button in the way. Also the app is very clunky, if I select to do something there’s a good 5 second wait of loading and watching the swirling ring, the previous app was pretty much instant. It’s like it’s a mobile browser and not an app. There are positives though! I like the fingerprint ID sign in, and I love that you can see far more of your past transactions and that you can click on them for more details. So at the minute I’m using the old app for moving money and the new app for viewing transactions. I have faith it’ll improve though.

Hi Rosgoo. Thanks very much for letting us know your thoughts on our new app. It's great to hear you like the additions we've made, especially fingerprint recognition and the ability to view your previous 13 months' worth of transactions. We'd love to discuss your thoughts on how we can further improve. Can you please get in touch with us on Twitter/Facebook around this? We'd really appreciate it. - Dan
The long-awaited ‘new app’ turns out to be just a re-shuffling of existing features. Only new perk, the digital login. It still feels so incredibly basic for 2019 and so behind what’s considered minimum standard today... It’s still not possible to edit the reason for payment in the existing payee list - seriously?? You can’t filter transactions, see standing orders or understand what your next credit card bill will be. Plus, it just gave me yet another login error and this time it just erased my registration details and asked me to re-register, again. The whole thing feels really clunky, even the in-app error messages and the description in the AppStore are ridiculously wordy and completely unaware of good UX practices... I gave it two stars just because at least it shows me the numbers. Apart from that, no real added value.

Thanks for your patience Lycia92. We have now brought out a new update for our mobile app. This update will stop you being asked to re register for the app. Can you please make sure that you have the most up to date version of the app installed. I hope you now find the app easier to use and improved. - Josh
Why release it if it’s not ready?
For the last 2 months I’ve seen all the hype about this app every time I logged in to check my balance. Now you launch it and tons of people are already complaining that it’s not fully functional. Personally I wouldn’t have a clue because when I tried to log in it told me I was locked out and should call some 0345 number. The problem is I know the password was correct because it’s saved in iCloud and I use it on my Mac all the time. Also I only entered it once. Bit quick to go locking people out don’t you think?
I was perfectly happy with the last app so I’m just going to continue using it. Certainly not spending my weekends on the phone to someone just so I can log into an app that I didn’t even want to upgrade to!

Hi P4dstar, I'm sorry for any trouble you've had registering for the app and I hope you've been able to reset your online banking details so you can access it now. If you only had one attempt and it locked you out it likely means there were incorrect attempts made before you tried when registering the mobile app. Thanks - Chris.
