Good but not perfect
This is a good, easy to navigate app, simplifying the check-in process.
Two issues: I have never found my nationality (UK BRITISH) inter ‘T’ before.
The main issue I’ve had is that my son has a new passport for this trip and the passport office add remaining months from previous passport onto the new. This app only allows for a child’s passport to be valid up to the date five years from check-in. As a result his passport year of expiration has been entered incorrectly to allow check in. This is an oversight in need of urgent repair.
Lots of Bugs
When choosing your nationality; it’s usually a simple task. Great Britain, United Kingdom? None of which available. England, English? Nope. British? Nope.
It came under ‘The’ United Kingdom. Very bizarre. Also... you can not paste a telephone number in the next of kin details. Well, you can, but it’s not recognised. It had to be deleted and re-typed. My surname has a hyphen in the passport. This was not allowed. Finally, it offers in the app to upgrade seats. When you try, this is unavailable and tells you to contact the airline. It does the job, I checked in eventually but could be improved.
Make flight ticket compulsory for eVisa and then not deliver
My country is showing on the list of eligible countries for online visa option when air ticket is purchased through emirates. However, when i went into the application itself after purchasing my flight ticket, my country is not on the list to choose from and therefore can not proceed with the visa application.
Emirates office in London confirm they no longer do visas for my country, when they clearly show my country on list of eVisa eligibility. Now, the airline and hotels are not able to assist.
I’ve just paid £1,085 for my ticket which I now can’t use due to their incompetence and deceit
