What's New in Version 3.2.2
Bug fix: Videos that are embedded in articles now play correctly.
Awful Advert Implementation
The current implantation of advertising is so intrusive and annoying, I gave up trying to read the news after trying a few articles. Some don't even load properly, so the end of articles is missing. I encountered pop up adverts that couldn't be closed as the "X" on them didn't work. I can put up with normal advertising, but when it gets this intrusive and annoying it is just App Suicide.
My Favourite newspaper is the independent, which reflects my political and social values. The app was always unacceptably flaky, but who in their right mind in an organization constantly suspicious of materialism would institute such crass and intrusive advertising. Sorry independent you've lost me to the grodian
Ads now make reading very unpleasant
The free version of the app seemed to have been improved a few weeks ago and was fine for me. Now the app has acquired intrusive and unpleasant ads that render it almost unacceptable. You really have to wonder if someone in the hierarchy wants to see this digital project fail as every step forward is followed by two in reverse.
