Review of title challenge from a blind person's perspective.
This is a fantastic game and I like the fact that it is based on real players. I also like the way the game works in regards to having a commentary so that you can track how are your players are playing in a match. I like the simplicity of the game and the ability to buy various amounts of money to invest in your club. I am totally blind and a voice-over user there are a few things in the game that I'm not quite accessible to somebody like myself and it would be useful if it could be added. The buttons are not labelled. Also if I want to change my formation for a team rather than clear the default I cannot do this as the tactics screen is not fully access a ball to somebody like myself. Four example they could be some think set up with the list of formations so I could just swipe and select my formation using either a combo box type of method. Another thing that would be useful is to have labels for all the players. When I am selecting my lineup I can't tell which player I am on unless I actually select them. This means I may have to go through my whole players for that one section select the one I want to play. I gave this game if five star rating despite this as I really like the game and it has got me very addicted.
Fun and free but could do more
Title Challenge is a fun and simple Football Management game. It's easy to pick up and has a quick addictive style. It reminded me of playing Football Chairman Lite. Few features but enough to keep you pressing continue.
Lots of improvements could be made. Transfers are frustrating because scouting takes a long time and you have to pick which players to scout - it would be far better if you could send out scouts to look for specific players of specific ability and price etc. Also there is no loan system, no contracts, no youth players so far as I can see, so the longevity of the game is compromised.
You get comments that certain players have been training well, but this is not reflected on the players stats, even though there is a training status. I suspect the latter is actually how well they train and therefore how much they are likely to improve, but this is not clear.
A note on player attributes, there aren't any, just a star rating and average form for the season. actually that suits me fine, but many players might miss this. No condition either - although you do get messages that a player needs a rest.
For me though the biggest miss is the lack of cup and European competition. It's just a league slog, and that's a shame.
Also, despite he latest update being sept 2015, squads are 14/15 season, so an update would be good.
Overall, a good game given its free, but could be so much better too and I would be willing to pay for that.
One of the best football manager games out there!!!
Love the way the game works, and editors have nailed the simulation of being a football manager.
This game would be the best football manager game for iOS, if only it had the euros, world cups and other league events other than the premier, La Liga, etc...
Another point I would consider developing is that the club you are managing also gets new lay spawned players, that join the club from a young age every season. I have played the game up to seasons 10-12 before and have noticed that all other teams gain young players in their squad, however your club doesn't. Immodestly you are at a disadvantage.
