Not Great - Poor Rendering

Tried this with a number of landscape images, straight from Raw format, the artifacting in the sea and sky are totally unaceptable for a full size image. As comparison I tried to get the same look with Affinity Photo, and although it was MUCH more complicated, and I could not quite get the exact same look, the amount of artefacting was minimal.

With Tonality, in order to get an acceptable image, had to run the image through Nik’s Dfine 2 to get any kind of smooth image - even with the structure in Tonality turned down.

I will try with a couple of other types of image to see if this improves, but if not, I shall be deleting this app.

Aw, thanks for the awesome feedback!

I use this app regularly to process old and new pictures. Pictures processed in Tonality and then placed on Flickr always gain positive reviews. Recommended.

Update: The app can now be used as an extension inside the Apple Photos app, and this works very well.

You just need to note that the stand-alone version and the extension work slightly differently. The stand-alone can save a propriety file with layers and changes all undo-able even when the file is re-opened at a later date. The extension cannot do this and it doesn’t matter how many layers are created, it saves a flattened image which cannot be changed later. This is not a problem, you just need to know.
