We have a holiday home connected with independent valve controls and wifi connection. It means I can see and if necessary control how the heating is being used. Quite often it's left on all the time which I can override especially if no one is at the house. Saves me a fortune in unnecessary bills. It also allows me to make sure rooms are kept heated in winter to a minimum level acceptable for my insurance policy. We also have a separate basement flat to the holiday house which is rented out full time. They have their own independent controls even though it's coming off the same boiler. This has saved a lot of money having to have an extra boiler installed and separate gas meters.
I have full control and the system works great.
Although the system is not cheap to install its well worth it.
Using the app is easy and works, highly recommend.

Installed on my iPhone after installing Evohome - easy enough to use, and covers most bases. It remains an irritant that Evohome doesn’t support geofencing, so it can’t detect when you’re away from home and adjust the temps accordingly - particularly irritating as Evohome is by anyone’s definition a premium product, and significantly cheaper options such as Nest/Hive etc. offer this. Assume that there will be an Evohome Ver 2.0 in due course that will fix this, (along with proper Alexa etc. support) but require expensive replacement of the existing controller.

For some reason, the Honeywell Home app decided it wasn’t going to play any more a few weeks after installation - would crash out constantly. Restarting the app didn’t fix the problem, so ended up deleting the app and reinstalling it - a slightly tedious process, particularly as the installation routine seems to fall over frequently and offer up error messages in Dutch or indeed various other European languages!

A star taken off therefore for issues with the installation routine and stability issues. A pity as in use the app is largely intuitive and straightforward in design.

I have been running Evohome for about 5 years, it has been brilliant, never had any problems, works with all my apps Elexa, IFTTT etc etc. Best money I have spent in a while, probably paid for itself end of year 3, new build but we only heat the rooms we are using instead of the whole house. In the morning we only heat our bedroom, en-suite and the kitchen. In the evening we know what rooms we use e.g. dinning room, living room, kitchen etc etc and we heat them as we use them. ie we know we always eat between 6&7 so we only heat that room then, they we drop the heating to 17 after 7 pm and 15 deg after 9pm until the next evening, we are never in the living room until after tea so I only heat that room at 6pm until 10:30pm, with its intelligent system on the really cold days it makes sure the rooms are hot when we get up, and when it’s warmer it will shut down early maintaining the temperature and saving gas. I would seriously recommend it over any of the other systems out there. I have the Wifi controller, the radiator valves and a living room stat as well so we get a good constant heat measuring away from the radiator. 👍
