Truecaller: Caller ID & Block 4+

So yes free but looks at what’s its tracking ? why does it need to track so much . Ive seen other apps that are free that don’t track no where near has much . So there selling your information . Got to be . And the fact the stating that there tracking you and every one is downloading it needs to know there selling your information . That’s how there making there money instead . Nothing in this life is free ! remove this app asap . It doesn’t need to track purchases location and many more , why would it need to !

I have been using Truecaller for a few months now and I am very happy with it. It is a great app that helps me identify and block spam calls and messages. It also shows me the name and location of the caller, even if they are not in my contacts. I find this feature very useful and convenient. I think Truecaller is a great app that deserves more positive reviews. It is one of the best apps I have ever used and I recommend it to anyone who wants to avoid spam calls and messages, and have a better communication experience. Truecaller is a true caller indeed!

This app has actually caused me no end of issues.

Let me be clear I am a free user, and I will not update to being a paid user; if you cannot perform the basic functions well how are you expected to perform the higher functions well.

After having this crap on for months; only today did I realise there was a junk category in my messages and within there was countless messages from my Doctors, HMRC and other important messages, absolutely NONE of which were spam, and ACTUAL spam was getting through so I assumed the spam filter wasn’t working.

Evidently it was but in the complete wrong way.

I am flabbergasted at how terribly implemented this was, actually filtered the most important messages and let the spam come through.

I’ve also uninstalled it for family members and lo and behold they had the same issue, a bunch of texts flooded in that they needed, this was after updated the filter lists manually on multiple occasions so this was not the issue.

And if you tell me this can be fixed with a premium feature: jog on. This is a basic feature implemented which should just work or not be a feature at all, you can’t break our phones and then say I need to pay your prices to fix your app.

At the end of the day, use your block feature, or use phones built in spam lists if it has the feature, this app is janky is hell and cannot recommend it.
