This app uses your device GPS sensor to discover nearby places of interest and NTS properties, tag your captured photos with your location, determine your distance from NTS properties, and to allow you to record your own walks.
When recording your own walks, the app monitors your location in the background. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Ratings and Reviews
To start with there seems to be something missing at the bottom of the screen with a grey blank section at the bottom. Then there the distance to properties is way out. I was staying in Saltcoats and it said Culzean Castle was 19 miles away when it is 33 miles.
Great for planning escapes!
Really found this app useful. Great to have it to hand when the sun finally pops thru a cloud to plan a weekend escape.
Loads of useful content and simple, inviting descriptions of all the properties.
Layout is easy to use and quick to navigate - I especially like the trail feature to help plan time away with the family too based on specific interests or activities - from adventure playgrounds to filming locations! Was particulaly great at easter to identify Easter egg fun!
Also like the map feature to show what's near for a quick visit if you're short on time. I used it to see what was near my new house!
Overall found this app very useful and a great addition to the National Trust media and information suite. Thanks National Trust!
After the disaster that is visit Scotland's app I was glad to see NTS put out an app but its far from perfect, paying for it when the NT does not and I am a member of NTS. There is no settings tab and the screen is cluttered with a giant camera button plus a strange symbol on the left which doesn't seem to do anything? Most annoying is the location service which resets constantly to your present location so trying view places to visit when not in Scotland is frustrating. The same issue with visit Scotland app! Not tested properly sort it, sorry I paid for it now.
