Text. Call. Check your voicemail. All without a bar of signal. As long as you’ve got Wi-Fi, TU Go keeps you connected. TU Go is available for O2 UK Business and Pay Monthly customers.
TU Go lets you use your O2 minutes and texts over Wi-Fi, on up to ten devices. So next time your phone runs out of battery, you can’t find signal or you’re soaking up the sun abroad, don’t panic. You can still use the minutes and texts from your O2 Bundle.
Who can use TU Go?
- O2 UK Pay Monthly customers
- O2 UK Business customers (excluding Mobex, some B4B and data only tariffs)
- Movistar customers in Argentina, Peru and Colombia
- Vivo customers in Brazil
The best bits:
• Stay in touch – choose between your mobile network, Wi-Fi or 3G/4G. And keep connected, wherever you are.
• Travel friendly – use TU Go over Wi-Fi abroad and your minutes and texts will cost the same as they do in the UK.
Here’s what some of our customers have to say about TU Go:
“Thank you O2! The ability to call and text people while I'm on the London Underground with no signal is epic and has had a few people asking me questions on how it works!” – Imhama
“I am currently traveling in South America so this app is saving me large amounts of money... Thanks O2 you are allowing me to keep in touch when I normally couldn't have afforded it…” – Rob Ericsson
“I thought this sounded too good to be true, but it isn't! It does exactly what I want it to. In Wi-Fi only areas, I can make & receive calls, also texts. It works on my iPad as well! Which is more than could be said of WhatsApp!” – Chris_G_Devizes
You can get TU Go on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch on iOS 7 and above.
Download TU Go now and unlock the freedom of Wi-Fi.

Could be better...
Most of the time with very good wifi the app works ok on calls in terms of quality and not dropping out, it could be better when handing over from wifi to 3G/4G as I find it seldom works and just disconnects or goes into robot sounding mode! Also the notifications for calls need to be much more phone integrated rather than pop ups that look like a message pop up etc, it should call the "phone" (tu go) screen up in full view because if you want it to work that way at the moment you have to be in the app - which is impractical - this is more of a failsafe app though so overall a fairly good one.
O2 solution to No free call whilst abroad
As o2 are to mean to give every one free calls and data when in Europe, unlike the other companies who use their network such as Tesco and Giff Gaff. This is the perfect solution to that problem, for calls anyway. As long as you have a decent wifi/internet connection you can call home out of your allowance. Think of it as Skype for o2 customers. And it does a very good job of it. Occasional lag, when the Internet is poor but overall a great product. The only issues I have had is with having to dial uk numbers without the "abroad" prefix.
Unfinished - a bit crap.
This app feels like it's been written by a beginner who's never tested it. When I'm out of O2 range, phonecalls come in but often drop out when picked up. Sometimes it doesn't work at all. Texts are better but it obviously doesn't talk to the messages app because I get everything repeated when I'm out of range. Sometimes I get the same text twice in Tugo and then twice in messages.
A bit crap really. Siri doesn't recognise it so it's impossible to use hands free.
As soon as anything else becomes available I will drop Tugo. It has saved me the expense of getting a range extender at home but I'd rather pay £10 for an app that actually works properly.
