TubeTap – Tube Refunds as Featured in WIRED UK 2011
"If a Tube trip takes 15 minutes more than Transport for London estimates, you're due a refund. Proving this is difficult, however, without the TubeTap app. You can time the journey and request a refund via the app." WIRED UK 2011
"TubeTap is an ingenious creation that helps commuters win refunds from London Underground when the service takes too long to get there." - City A.M.
TubeTap is the easiest way to get refunds when you’re late on the Tube. TubeTap is the only app that automatically locates what stations you’re at, estimates your journey time for you and automatically submits refund requests. It couldn’t be easier.

What's New in Version 1.0.258
+ Bug fixes on the refund submission process
+ Improved error messages to be more clear what is going wrong
+ Improved data validation
Well, after months of the app not working, but the developer still telling people to buy it on Twitter, they have finally fixed it. I have now received refund vouchers from claims submitted via the app. The only annoyance now is that the TFL website sends you an email confirmation of your claim submission - you don't get that with the app, so you have no way of knowing if TFL receive your claim.
With this in mind, I have increased my one star rating to two stars; not because there's anything wrong with the app (other than the email thing), but because the developer has proven that they only care about getting your money, not providing a working app. With that in mind, I cannot recommend that you buy this app.
Use the TFL website to submit claims, and also to find out how long your journey should take (use the journey planner) - then just use your watch to figure out if you're due a refund.
Met Line Woe
Effective to a point. My only complaint is the lack of exact predicated times on Met Line 'fast' v 'semi-fast' v 'all stations' trains as that can have quite an impact on timing, rendering the app redundant at times. I rely on the Met Line on a daily basis so it's quite a big deal. If they fix this, it would be marvellous.
I finally submitted my request using this update. Worked like a charm this time!
