What's New in Version 1.4.2
- Conversation icon added to tweets that are a reply to another tweet
- Added 'Save Image To...' menu item so you can save your images to a folder other than the Downloads folder
- Fixed the issue on the status detail view where control-clicking on the reply-to/in-reply-to tweet overlay buttons could apply an action to the wrong tweet
- Fixed the issue where opening an instagram video would open two tabs when using Chrome
- Fixed the issue where some images were opened with an incorrect orientation
Well worth the price
It's not particalarly Tapbot's fault that Tweetbot for Mac is so expensive - you can blame Twitter's ridiculous decisions regarding third party apps for that.
I've been using this since the very first alpha release, and I’ve rarely not had it running since then. It’s every bit as good as it's iOS counterpart. The iCloud syncing works a charm, too.
There’s plenty of customisation options - you can have multiple columns or windows open showing different timelines, mentions, searches etc; you can choose what notifications to recieve, and my favourite feature: you can mute specific accounts, helpful for tweets you’d rather not see but can’t unfollow for whatever reason.
£14 may seem a bit steep these days for software, but Tweetbot really is worth every penny, even though the high pricing is due to Twitter's tokens.
Used to be the best….
…but crashes all the time now. Very buggy. Spinning wheel of death. Running on OSX 10.8.5. Needs a bug update swiftly…. When it used to work it was excellent.
