uControl is HDanywhere’s universal IR remote companion app for controlling MHUB 4K PRO centralised AV multiroom systems and all the connected sources and TVs, over WiFi with a single mobile device instead of multiple remotes.

It is programming-free and super simple to setup. It offers all the controllability required for operating your home entertainment system in the majority of AV scenarios. Use your phone or tablet as a universal remote, allowing you to choose which source you want to watch and where, with all the various functions for each device shown on screen, with familiar button layouts and gesture control.

uControl can be personalised with by setting background images for each zone/room (such as a photo of your living room) and you can choose a light or dark theme to your preference.

The ‘U’ in uControl stands for a lot of things; ‘Unintimidating’ in that it’s easy to set up and simply intuitive to operate for the end-user. ‘Universal’ in that it works with any IR device and ‘U’ as in its designed and bespoke for each MHUB 4K PRO installation.

Dreadful...control does not work.

This upgrade is terrible and does not work. My daughter has not upgraded and her old version still works perfectly so it is most definitely this upgrade which has caused me the problem. DO NOT UPGRADE!

Hi Dbstrathblane,

Apologies to hear that you're having problems, from your review, it sounds as though you're only a update away (on your MHUB) from a working system.

When your version of uControl updated to version 2 it will have prompted you to update your MHUB system at the same time. If, for whatever reason, this was skipped or not started then you will experience the problem you are describing.

This would explain why your daughter who has not updated uControl can use her iOS device and you can not. Her old version and the version of software on MHUB are still compatible.

Sorry to hear that your app is not connecting to MHUB. Can you confirm which model you have? Please feel free to email us directly and we can look in to the problem for you in more detail. There is a patch due for release later on today 19/10/18 which should resolve any issues.

Worked for a bit after the update but now I just get a random set of error messages that I can’t seem to resolve.
