异乡平台上的学生公寓挺多，有的有视频又的还有直播，感觉不错。在国内的话更能了解到将来自己生活居住的地方，对于如何选择公寓还是有很大的帮助的。

I’ve been advertising a property on Uhomes. Initially posting a property, the app kept crashing when I tried to upload pictures. This was more annoying as after crashing it deleted my property description which I had to type up multiple times.

The help service is very confusing- there’s a live chat, another section for help and on top of that you will receive text messages in response to your question. This was a very unclear text service and I actually thought someone was enquiring about the property.

The advertising headers are unfortunate as although my advert is listed under “London” properties, I would have to create new ads for the same property to post it under UCL, King’s College, etc university, meaning right now if students looking for homes click on their university instead of London (where their uni’s are based) they would not see my advert.

Initially the app didn’t allow me to sign up as a landlord rather than a student, though I was able to list a property after. The issue with this is that I’m getting many notifications about virtual viewings of student accommodation.

I think the main aim of Uhomes is to link students to the big uni accommodation names like IQ and Urbanest so Uhomes gets a commission. As an independent landlord with a single property, i didn’t feel like this platform is for me.

The procedures you have to follow in order to view the property are absolutely ridiculous. The customer service will have to direct you to the so-called consultant and then you have to fill in a form with all your personal details to apply for a viewing. After that, you are forced to download the app(otherwise you can’t continue) and fill in a second form which requires more of your personal info even include your passport No., National ID, University, major, you contact details on every social platform...bare in mind, this is just the initial stage, you haven’t even seen the room yet! This is what it asks for a VIEWING! It is disgusting when you’re forced to download an app if not necessary and they have literally no respect on privacy.
