We strive to keep the retro feel of the original game, however our version sports several enhancements such as multiplayer, leaderboard with achievements, buying / changing ships plus much more!

- Classic Space Trader gameplay
- Buy and change ships
- Trade goods at different planet system
- Upgrade your ship
- Multiplayer 2-4 players
- Leaderboards and achievements

Thanks to all who have commented / reviewed so far!

Note: Some users have noted that Unknown is unable to save progress with iPad and iOS 8. We are looking into this.

In order to get multiplayer sessions up and running we propose everyone who is interested in playing multiplayer attempt to Join or Host a session on Thursdays at 20:00 CET.

Note: We have seen a number of reviews that refer to Unknown as something else, while we certainly enjoy all the nice reviews we just want to point out that Unknown is nothing other than a remake, it is not any other game. We would also like to see some reviews on how the multiplayer functionality works as we haven't been able to test this other than in a small scale locally.

Note: There presently is no manual (we're working on it), but there are many resources online for similar games. For instance, search for "space trader flight manual"..!

Note: Some have been asking how multiplayer works -- Just go to Multiplayer -> Quick Match (or Custom Match) and try joining a game (if there is any available)!

Unknown to me until today, OMG! How have I missed this, I played the original Elite on my Speccy back in 1984, played through all other versions up to and including Elite Dangerous on my PC, all time fave game, Play ED on PC and love it, heard about this so downloaded, fantastic, plays on my old IPad 2 and my iPhone, getting to grips with the handling, and icons, hit the green fella icon to jump closer to station, already been in a fight with a sidewinder, and boosted my credits, now at Leesti,, it's a faithful copy of the original with better graphics from the old wireframe, but a welcome addition, simplicity and easy to pick up and brings back great memories, from my childhood, and can play when I'm on the bus to work, great job and thanks.

Just what commanders of the original have been waiting for!

Having had a proper chance to play with it, I've upgraded my previous four star rating to a five, and it is very well deserved indeed. In my original rating I mentioned the difficult controls, but having played it a while it all came back to me and the controls are just like the original on which this game is based. They are tricky at first, sure, but stick with it and you'll get the hang of it.

I wouldn't bother with the in-app purchases as the fun of this game is achieving status and earning the credits for new ships. I would rather pay a one-off payment for a game anyway, and I would have gladly done so for this game as it really is excellent and a faithful reproduction. Very well done guys.

If the developers are considering reproducing the sequel to the original game, which had a lot more depth and complexity than the original, then I would be only too happy to pay for it. But for now, I'm ecstatic to have the opportunity to replay this phenomenal classic.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I'm giving this 5 stars based on the fact that it is absolutely reminiscent of the old elite. However it looses a star for being difficult to control on my device which just so happens to be an iPod with a tiny screen. Regardless, this game is so horrible it reminded of how much I hated the original. I haven't managed to play past 2 consecutive planets after playing for many hours. Don't even think about carrying illegal goods. You WILL die. Over and over again. Doing and failing the same thing over and over again is insanity so I've given up. But to be fair, this is just the same as the original.
