rubbish

This app is not working - I prevented it accessing my Youtube account, ,as soon as I signed in, by going into my google account and deleting link in connected apps and sites. Anyway rubbish - you cannot drag the videos from iPhoto onto the app (or perhaps so, when you let them manage your Youtube account!).

Pretty Straight-forward...

Seems to work fine. Yes, you have give permission for the app to access your Youtube channel but I don’t see the difference between that and the sorts of other permissions apps are regularly given by users to access other aspects of their electronic devices functionality eg cameras, mikes, settings, locations, etc.

It isn’t made very clear anywhere else but to allow you to upload a movie file that appears in your Mac’s Photo library, it must first be ‘Exported’. To do this, just go to the relevant movie in Photos, click on it (it will start playing), click on ‘File’ in the Photos menu bar, click on ‘Export’ and then ‘Export 1 video’. A configuration widow will appear. Complete this (including what directory you want the exported .m4V file to be saved in) and click the ‘Export’ button.

Next, just locate and click-and-drag the file into the open VUfYT app’s window, configure the YT’s video settings (title, description etc) and click on ‘Publish’. Simple.

Control Freaks ?

Maybe I am naive, but when an ap says it wants to “Manage my YouTube account” is there any surprise I click ‘deny’.

Unless you app developers explain what this really means, who is going to risk letting you take over managing an account !

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your feedback. Once you sign in with your valid YouTube (Google) account, the application will now ask permissions to manage your YouTube account. Please click on "Allow" to proceed. Clicking on "Allow" will give the necessary permissions to the app to manage your YouTube account.

This is a standard feature of Google secured sign in mechanism. However, the developers of Video Uploader for YouTube will NOT store any of your personal information.
