Appalling on the go service from virgin

We have just moved to virgin from sky and one of the key question we asked was about the on the go, can we have more than 4 login , how does it work etc. We were yes up to login and exactly same the same as Sky. OMG the app is shocking, one you can't download anything, two you can't watch a lot of the programme or channel on the app due to virgin's right with broadcasters, three there is a cap on two login which they can't seem to change when we were told we. Hold have 10! We have the sports, movie and kids bundles and for movie and sport we need to download the sky cinema app and sky sports app as you can't get it in the tv anywhere. With the sky cinema app, you cant download the film through virgin, you can only watch which is useless.

I am really less than impressed with this, in a day where TV catch up is huge the Virgin offering is so inadequate, plus really angry that we were lied to when we enquired about it.

Shockingly bad, the app is only useful as an alternative for the remote. Contacted virgin who didn't give a monkey! Customer service is not good!

Fed Up & Abused

I used to say that BT were the most hated service provider in the UK...well congrats Virgin, you take this accolade to a new level by a margin that beggars belief. Trust me, if I ran my company of 2000 employees the way you treat your customers, I'd be out of business by the sheer weight of litigation I'd be paying - you're a hateful entity with NO regard for your paying customer. I've tried complaining to you with legitimate issues but you make it impossible to talk to a human being and you do not return calls - honestly I wish I could sue you to make you wake up and listen. I was so disgusted with your service I even went to a specialist firm to get a Sky dish fitted in my loft because your service is appalling. I spend £140 a month with you and I feel genuinely violated by my relationship with you _ and no, this is not hype - it is true desperation - and you're supposed to be a service provider!!! Any potential customer reading this, if you have Sky as an alternative option, walk, no SPRINT to them in the opposite direction from these incompetent providers....truly. S.

Only works if v6 is rebooted!!

I just got upgraded to a v6 and at first I got my iPhone to work successfully as a remote control, watch recorded programmes and streaming on live channels. Fantastic I thought but...when I left the house my phone obviously changed to use 4G. Upon my return & picking up my home wifi, the app stopped working. I decided to reboot the v6 box and it started functioning. Weird. That is what I need to do as a workaround - so something is wrong with the connectivity requiring the attention of the IT developers. UPDATE: upgraded to 3 stars as the app was reinstalled and it is now working much better. I agree with the other comments that the app should not totally rely on wifi to watch a programme. I have 4G with plenty of data, it would be good if you could add in this option.
