What you need

• Be a Virgin TV customer
• An iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, running iOS 9 or later, with WiFi, 3G or 4G internet access
• Your My Virgin Media username and password
• To download shows, you need a Full House subscription or above

Watching Virgin TV Go on your device through a 3G/4G connection will use data and contribute to any monthly allowance set by your mobile network operator. Exceeding this could result in significant charges. For security reasons, and to protect the rights of our content partners, Virgin TV Go cannot be used on jailbroken devices, where unauthorised modifications have been made to the operating system.

Current version works well

I have now been using this app for 3-5 weeks from outside UK and watched both live and box sets. It is a live steam (for live TV) so no cashing or buffering, therefore you cannot pause or rewind. You need to authorise your device first and then works quite well. Some programs you can not watched outside UK due to its licensing. I have been able to catchup with programs that I like and watch live TV, boxset are very good. Since it does not cache or buffer interruptions might accrue but its not a problem for me to miss couple of seconds.

Join Sky Q, that's the best advice you can get

Honestly I'm not lying when I say that this app and the TV go service hasn't worked for me for two straight months.

Now that might not sound like a big deal, but when you're a full house subscriber and you're constantly told by the app you need to upgrade to watch live TV it starts to wear thin.

Virgin customer service can't help, you're given no information, no resolution in sight, and yet each month they still expect to be paid the full amount for products and service you simply don't receive.

I've been in touch with the app developer, Virgin technical, Virgin CS and nobody can actually seemed to do anything.

I left sky to join Virgin and I was genuinely happy for months and months. Yet when something like this happens it becomes apparent that the company and its departments are so fragmented nobody knows what the other is doing and the amount of personal time you spend trying to sort out issue's is mind blowing.

I don't like Sky, but in truth it's the best place to put your money if they're offering a new customer deal as at least it'll work

So pleased it works for some.

I laugh when people come on and say something about they don’t know why others are complaining because they’re able to get this useless app working properly. Well good for them but at this time of asking it’s got a rating of 2/5 which isn’t that good is it? Still it gives me hope because up to now all I’ve found is its dire. Slow, crashes a lot, tells me I’ve used up all my devices when I know I haven’t. This .app makes you install other .apps if you want to view certain media. Of course you have to log back in. No problemo except when I do it doesn’t recognise the password I only used only a minute ago.
The people who are moaning about this must be in the 60% of people who think it’s rubbish. I am.
