What you need

• Be a Virgin TV customer
• An iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, running iOS 8 or later, with
WiFi, 3G or 4G internet access
• Your My Virgin Media username and password

Virgin TV Go is available to all Virgin Media TV customers. Watching Virgin TV Go on your device through a 3G/4G connection will use data and contribute to any monthly allowance set by your mobile network operator. Exceeding this could result in significant charges. For security reasons, and to protect the rights of our content partners, Virgin TV Go cannot be used on jailbroken devices, where unauthorised modifications have been made to the operating system.

Virgin TV GONE!

Someone must know why Virgin created this app. Apart from the reasonable assumption that some geeks wanted to make customers’ lives more difficult. In the “old” TV Anywhere app, one had a perfectly understandable Guide. So that’s gone. It can still be consulted. Just close this app and open the Control app. Then there’s finding the channel and programme you want. Dead easy! I wonder how many people remember the channel by the name of the station? Put the stations in alphabetical order? Of course not. Leave them in the numeric channel order? Of course. Most people remember the channel they want by its number, don’t they? Just take the channel numbers away! It makes it so much fun scrolling through the entire list. And then, when looking for a particular programme, the “old” app had a stupid list. How much easier to have a grid so that the customer can scroll sideways through an entire day’s programmes instead of just looking down a list! And we mustn’t forget all the trouble that is taken to abbreviate programme titles. Not only in the programme grid, where space is at a premium, but also on the Info page. Someone must have designed those pages with data fields in order to limit the space used to give the viewer information. How exciting trying to recall the titles of all the episodes of a series. Then the title on the Info page is just like a partially completed crossword. The app does have one virtue. I can really appreciate taking up a book!

THE MOST UNSTABLE AND UNUSABLE APP EVER.

This is one of two apps which make up to replace Virgin TV Anywhere. When after loads of anger and frustration after loads of tries to log into to Virgin Go you finally manage to log in as soon as you go to watch something on a IPAD AIR and you try and play it the app closes down quicker than you can click your fingers. Hey presto and the app shouts down. It’s magic you know. Not good magic but magic. Surely this has got to be in the all time worst most unstable apps of all time in the Apple App Store and this surely if it continues to be the case with this app then this has got to be the worst ever insult to all paying customers of Virgin. If Sky was creating an app for Virgin to force Virgin customers to switch I seriously don’t think they could do any better than this. WELL DONE VIRGIN! NOT. My rating is currently 0 stars(true rating not the one star I was forced into giving) if you improve it Virgin I will give you more stars and let’s face it you would be very hard pressed to do any worse.

Absolutely dreadful app, the worst tv go app out there!

After having been a very loyal customer for many years, I had to endure several years as a sky customer, however since I’ve returned to virgin, the service and customer care has seriously deteriorated! And this app just about sums it up! I had no choice but to give it 1 star, it should be zero! Only 2 devices to be added and limited to how many changes can be made in a month! Ridiculous! There is 8 of us in our house, all with smart devices, are you expecting us to take turns every month!? Come on VM get real! Even sky were better than this!! We have been with you just over a year and you have already put our bill up 4 times! What for exactly? We upgraded with you and yet you then took channels off that package and programs that were recorded previously were gone! No warning and no chance to watch them! Bloody useless!!
