Description
The vast amount of water consumed and polluted in the making of products has an enormous impact on the ecological footprint of human civilization.
Carry the Virtual Water digital companion anywhere and grow more concious about how much water our everyday food and beverages really consume.
The official Virtual Water app is the interactive edition of the popular Water Footprint poster by German designer Timm Kekeritz.
It has been featured in various publications worldwide, including Greenpeace Magazine, SEED Magazine, La Repubblica, IdN Magazine.
The poster’s unique design was carefully adapted for iOS by the designer and his studio in Berlin.
The Virtual Water app provides richer information an even more products than the printed edition—plus full interactivity. Picking a product from the list takes you to its individual infographic: a beautiful illustration and animated water drops. Swipe to navigate and compare products. Flip to get quick facts on the current product. Get surprised with a random product by shaking your iPhone / iPod Touch.
Virtual Water now features high-resolution graphics to look even more gorgeous on the Retina display.

Needs expansion at current price
Probably very accurate figures given the source and the graphics and setup of the app was very good however the range of products described was minuscule to the extent that I could memorise the list in a few minutes. Far less of a range than free apps give; I would not pay money for this app given a second chance.
