A great app, Ruined
Not only have videolan ruined what was a great (probably the greatest) app of it's kind, they have (in my opinion at least) ruined their reputation too. VLC was, for my purposes at least, perfect. Until they decided to update it. I previously had no problems with bulk uploading music onto the app but now after updating it crashes continually every time I open the app. If I'm quick enough in selecting a track, it will play and continue playing indefinitely but as soon as I return to viewing either "albums" or "all tracks" it immediately crashes again. 73 times I've reopened the app only for it to crash again. Until this and all the other bugs have been sorted (if they ever are) steer clear, avoid the frustration and use something else. Get your bloody finger out videolan
File Sharing Folders
Good app, really like it, however file sharing feature does not work that well with folders, it allows you to sync folders but when viewing content in the vlc player the folders are not syned the content is in the root directory and you have to create a folder and move stuf into it. It will helpful to keep everything in line, if folder is uploaded it should appear as folders in VLC.
Waste of time
Both the app and VLC as an entity is a waste of time and I personally hold them accountable for the poor user experience they provide. Why bring an app back if you know you'll have to remove codec support, users put time and energy into porting content into the app and then are stranded when they need it out and about. Get your act together, devise a biz model that will allow you to license what is needed to make your app functional. I wish i could use harsher words here because you really do deserve them. Moronic behavior!!!
