Good app but with problems
I had a previous version of this on my old iPhone which worked like a charm. Paid a few pounds for it, but well worth it for watching the videos I had recorded from the TV on the train. Got a new iPhone, but the old app wasn't available due to copyright issues. I therefore downloaded this one which is nowhere near as good! Plays .ts and .mp4 files fine, but if I stop them part way through and then return to them it quits and goes back to the beginning. This is very frustrating!! Ditto if I get a phone call, or text whilst watching the video, the screen goes black when I return to the video player. I therefore have to stop and start the video again and fast forward to where I remember I had got up to! This didn't happen in the other version of the VLC. I have told the developers but they are either not able to or interested in fixing it.
Am looking for a better one. Happy to pay for it if it does the job properly.
Not like Linux or Windows !
Download this as I currently use this for both my Linux and Windows. But the h3ll !!!!! Can't maintain a proper connection to either the OS's for the following day and have to start all over again. Only to find that I have to go through, yet again, so many hoops only to find that the first connection I was using now suddenly works for no apparent reason other than its now working. For today that is. When tomorrow I have to go this all over again !
Here's my question. Why can this VLC Player can not be made the same as the Linux and Windows version ?
Until VLC Player has the same interface as Linux and Windows version this will only get a 0 star .... Ok 1 star as there is no zero star !
Poor folders arrangement
I downloaded VLC to enable me to watch dvds that I have converted to the iPad, 4 x tv series and a few films, VLC is great for watching those but the folder and file system is pretty awful with very little flexibility. It seems not possible to arrange the folders in any logical way i.e. Series 1 series 2 series 3 etc they just get jumbled up along with the other folders with films in. Tech support is non existent, I would give 5 * were they to sort out the folders inflexibility issues. It would be nice to move them into a chosen order.
