What's New in Version 1.29
Fixes iCloud synchronisation issues.
Love the game but where's the sync?
Update: The developers have been very quick and helpful in trying to resolve the sync problem, but it just isn't happening. To force a sync you have to connect both devices to a computer, download some software, manually delete your saved game, then load up the game on both devices and do various things to force them to sync. But if you play further on one device, you have to go through the whole process again to get the other device to sync. It's ridiculously time-consuming. I've never known another game have this problem with syncing. I must give the developers credit for how helpful they've been, but ultimately the game doesn't work how it's meant to and if syncing is important to you (as it is to me) then you're going to find Warhammer Quest very frustrating.
The first feature listed in the App Store description is iCloud syncing. Can't for the life of me get it to work. On both my iPad and iPhone (both iOS8) the game says syncing is enabled... it just doesn't sync. Apart from that I love the game.
Decent, but very repetitive, and the in-app purchases are a rip-off.
Unfortunately, wanting this to be brilliant didn't make it so. It's okay, looks good, is fun early on, but it becomes very repetitive and there aren't enough options for customising your group e.g. you can't name your heroes (why?).
One of my biggest gripes is with the cost of the game. You can end up paying a lot for not very much. You've to buy the extra maps, which aren't very big. You also have to buy extra heroes, individual items (e.g. weapons), and even new enemies to add to maps. Ridiculous. If I'm paying for these things, I'd want the basic game to be vastly better than it is.
Good game but impossible on hard
I've spent many hours on this game. It's a great RPG with stunning graphics. I'd give it 5 stars if: (1) stats match abilities i.e even with shield of 11, I'm still constantly getting hit (2) more dungeon content as completed all 3 regions (3) would be awesome being able to use more than 4 guild members for larger dungeons (4) have multiplayer options either having 2 guild groups in large dungeons or verse one another. (5) more special gear to equip and slots to equip more items.
