What's New in Version 2.80
General performance enhancements and improvements.
Landscape and portrait video continues when returning to channels view for iPhone. Now you can browse through other channels while continuing to view TV.
Always been good but this update has improved it a lot. Love the screen in screen addition and that they have kept up the pause TV feature. The only addition I would like to see is a widget on the iPhone/iPad drop down widgets/notification page, where reminders and favourite programs could appear, ie, coronation street is on in 5 mins with a button next to it open app, which takes you to the TV catch up app and to that channel.
Used to be my favourite app and now it NEVER works!!
All but 1 channel only play on wifi now and still crashes then even if signal is strong.
What happened to all the extra channels?! Just 1-5 now.
Crashes constantly! for some reason when you select a channel it take me to an itunes style player and plays 5 seconds of a woman singing. Always the same (abd without meaning to sound petty - it Always seems to be that the only single channel that won't work is the one you want to watch! Really is!)
You try watching through safari - same problem!
ALL THIS - EVEN AFTER THE (long awaited) UPDATE!!
This has now gone from my favourite app, to one a intend on deleting further to posting this extremely disappointing review!
It used to work brilliantly. It seems their tech support guys have gotten ahead f themselves trying to 'improve' it and have subsequently ruined it.
I intend to download 'FREEVIEW HD' app. Less channels and no +1s, but At least it (hopefully!) won't cut out at the most important parts all the time!
Overall great app
I really like using this app because it means that I could watch a list of tv channels on my iPhone whilst I'm out and about or downstairs in the kitchen. The only issue I have is there's not enough channels in comparison to freeview but that's just me being greedy.
Also the unavailable on GSM but available on wifi is an issue, I have a 4G phone and unlimited data who needs a wifi. I have tried using BT hotspots and it does not respond to that either. Please fix this I'm missing x-factor as I'm writing this.
