Handy app but room for improvement
Wattbike is my favourite gym tool and this app works reasonably well with the bike. The best thing is the live polar view and PES scores which replicate what you see on the bike screen but with the additional benefit of colour coding. All the stats are saved in the hub too. There’s some room for improvement. Setup is definitely fiddly and not intuitive but once you know how to connect phone to bike via Bluetooth it’s then ok. One feature they should introduce is the ability to create custom rides/plans or to import them from other users. There’s a huge opportunity to create a community of riders here. The issue related to doing plan rides outside of the scheduled days reported in earlier reviews seems to be resolved. Overall a good app but still room for improvement.
Has the potential to be brilliant
I've been using this app for about 2 months and there are some great features such as the instant PES feedback and the built in programmes but it has one major floor.. the inability to programme your own workouts on it via the just ride section. If for example you want to create your own intervals with set rest periods and don't want to mess up your overall power ratings / pedal efficiency scores then the only way to currently do this is via the console on the bike itself and therefore it doesn't record on this. I'm maybe missing something with it because I cannot believe that such a simple thing would be missed off.
Making your own custom ride.
The app is great, I use this everyday and this app has got me fitter with my leg power improving rapidly.
I and many other have spoken about making your own custom rides on here, this would make this app so much more efficient for many users. Also could you please attach some more workouts to the speed and endurance sections with longer timings on them. They are great workout but need longer ones on endurance and speed.
