WeCycle collects how and where you travel to help make our cities and towns friendlier for cyclists and safer for everyone. It’s always on in the background, effortlessly figuring out how you're moving so you don't need to start it, stop it, or tell it what you're doing.
*** The WeCycle slimming diet removed so much fat that unfortunately you need to delete v1.0 before installing v1.2 (this is not an issue for those on v1.1 or newcomers). Effortlessly record your travel diary simply by installing the app now. It automatically adds your cycle rides to our community canvas to help make the case for investment in your routes.
This first release of WeCycle does not automatically tell the difference between bike and cars - so please set your preferred road vehicle in the settings page (default is cycle). We’re working on this and other improvements so please email us your ideas how we can make WeCycle better.
North American Users
WeCycle will automatically collect your routes in North America, but cannot identify all vehicles like it does in Europe. Bear with us, and in the meantime please use it to contribute routes.
We will not sell or give your data to marketers, as our express purpose here is to show where and when cycling is taking place across the nation. We work closely with cities and will press Local Authorities and the Department of Transport to act on this data.

WeCycle uses GPS and so WILL impact your battery, but we are constantly working to improve this. Our target is for you to still get through a working day.

TravelAI is unlocking the power of crowds to bring insight into movement across all forms of transport. We use smartphones and their sensors to analyse the speed and patterns of movement to automatically classify both public and private, foot-powered and mechanised transport modes.
Our aim is to help improve how we use transport systems by generating new and insightful data, because transport touches our lives in so many diverse ways. Better, faster and cheaper transport is the future we want to build with you.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

What's New in Version 1.3.10
This is the first of two major updates we are proud to be delivering to you patient and hardy cyclists.
Part 1 increases the resolution to gather more detailed route data, while still seeking to balance out the power consumption and make sure you get to the end of the day with your device.
Next Part 2 will introduce our own MotionEngine which will add running, walking and cycling detection using the accelerometer suite.
