Customer Reviews

Oh really Kevin Forbes..

imagine trolling reviews just to be nasty. One can only assume it was your sheer arrogance and self importance that resulted in someone being unfriendly towards you. Perhaps you should educate yourself on Scotland before you start slating it! If it is such a backward country you wouldn't be sitting with a telephone in your hand, wheels on your car and the tv to rot your brain further! It was Scottish people who invented all them things and so much more. Plus Scotland is one of the most sought after places to visit by overseas travellers and our hospitality and friendliness is world renowned! plus we have our own language derived from french and German to name but a few and Gaelic! plus oil and lots of it! You sound like a bitter English person, I may be wrong. but you only just reinforced what people think of them the world over! Us backward.......far from it! Digressing slightly there...fab app.

Very good, does what you need it to

Don't honestly see anything wrong with it now that updates have been made. I'm from Edinburgh and recommend to anyone who wants to know what's on and where things are, especially if you're coming to Scotland on holiday.

Pretty much has everything you need to know and good contacts and map access. Good that's it free too, needs more recognition than the not-so useful Visit Scotland app.

Me and my partner use it for cycling trails. Camera augmented reality thing is useful to, if you're not sure which direction you're heading. Highly recommend, to anyone who wants a good guide to Scotland, tourist or resident. J.F.

Useless for pre-planning

I'm all for the spirit of adventure, but the likelihood is that most people will want to pre-book accommodation prior to their visit. After lots of switching settings on and off I was allowed to search in Edinburgh but just got the equivalent of a 'google search' result with no way of knowing what was where. This app might be good when you're actually already in the spot that you want to be in but I suspect that most people will get annoyed with it after trying a couple of searches and delete it due to lack of pre-planning ability. A shame as Scotland really needs a good tourist app!
