The Welsh Dictionary is an amazing reference point for over 26,000 welsh words. It is simply the most definitive and comprehensive Welsh-English dictionary available in the i-phone store. Use it to translate old welsh poems or songs or to build up your own knowledge of welsh words.
The Welsh Dictionary has an intuitive interface that uses flick and shake gestures to navigate around the dictionary. Save your favorite words and send them to your friends.

Good, could be great
Definitely the best Welsh learning app, that's agreed. I'm not a huge fan of the interface, as I am finding that if you put an English word in you get noun... Or verb... before the actual word in the search, which is confusing.
Having said that I've only found a few words that it doesn't know the translation for.
I'm sure it will be useful to me. Suggested improvements would be changing the format of the English word list so it's the same as the Welsh one and adding more vocabulary.
Very good. I'm a high level learner and don't need the simple stuff and I've not failed to find a word I've needed yet.
The person who criticised it for not having 'fach' or 'fawr' clearly doesn't realise that these words have been mutated and if he looked for the correct words ' bach' and 'mawr' they will be there. Welsh is a very difficult language to use a dictionary with and in my opinion this is as good as any I've used.
The Welsh-English look up is pretty good. Most words I've looked for have been there and the definitions are decent.
The English-Welsh look up, however, is dire. The clue is in the way this option is titled: 'By meaning'. Basically it's just a list of the English definitions for the Welsh words, e.g. not 'look' but 'verb look'.
This makes it hard to spot the English word you're looking for and seems to affect the ability of the app to locate words too: on a number of occasions it returned no result for an English word, sorry 'meaning', despite it being in the database (as I would discover once I'd got the Welsh word from another source and tried looking it up in the dictionary).
Needs a proper English-Welsh look up and preferably audio too.
