WeQ4U is an iPhone App that puts you through to ANY UK number starting 01, 02, 03, 05 or 080 as well as many thousands of 087 and 084 numbers in our extensive database of UK companies.
To use it, just enter the number you wish to reach and the app will connect you. If you get stuck in a queue, just press 9* on your telephone keypad, and your phone will disconnect from the call.

We'll stay in the queue for you, and when an agent answers, you will be automatically reconnected straight away.
We save you time and money:
Calls through WeQ4U are included in your standard minutes, saving you around 30p per minute on your 084 and 087 calls! Plus, you don't use any minutes for the time we wait in the queue for you. How good is that!
If you're on Contract, this makes the calls FREE so long as you don't go over your monthly allowance for 01/02/03 numbers. If you are on Pay As You Go / Top Up, then you only pay your standard 01/02/03 rate for the calls, instead of the much higher rates mobile companies charge when you call 084 or 087 numbers direct.
Does it record my calls? No. We just deliver them straight to the call centre.
Will it share my personal details? No. We take privacy very seriously, and are not interested in your personal information.

NOTE: For numbers that do NOT start with 01,02,03, 05 or 080, the number must exist in our database of alternate numbers in order do be used. We have tens of thousands of 0844, 0845, 0870, 0871 and 0872 numbers from publicly available sources. Most popular 08 numbers are in our database. Overall, we are able to successfully service 70% of all queries for these numbers.
As alternate numbers are sourced from publicly available sources, we cannot accept responsibility for the accuracy or quality of any alternative numbers used by the app/service, as we can't manually check every one. Use of WeQ4U is therefore entirely at your own risk.
We also cannot guarantee that the call centre will not hang up on your call without answering.
If using with WiFi your router must allow outbound connections on port 4576 (enabled by default on most) - otherwise use 3G!

New version to support OfCom changes to 080 (Freephone) and 0870 numbers
Works. Good hit rate as others have said.
The only improvement I could suggest is to make it much clearer how to use numbers that are stored in my phone's contacts. I use the app infrequently and can't remember how I did it the previous time. I found the last time I used it, that if I pressed the x button to delete the last number used, then flipped the up down arrow, "contacts" would show as an option. Not sure if this will work reliably though.
That's the only mini gripe for me, it's a great app that meets the claims made by the devs.
I would pay to get rid of the ads but I don't see an option for that.

No more hold music!
This app has saved me so much time (I can do other things while waiting half an hour+ in the queue for revenue and customs etc), money (£40 so far!), and has probably saved my sanity by sparing my ears from the dreadful, loud hold music. This app is so easy to use, and makes calls to companies so much less stressful, as I'm not noting how long I've been on hold for, or how much my mobile bills going to be! A must have for everyone, to beat those queues, and those companies who get enough money out of us, and then sting us again when we need to phone them!
Q 4 U saves being ripped off again!
When you purchase something not great and your only alternative is to die a slow and expensive death by phoning a premium number that keeps you on hold for 25 minutes whilst playing painful musaq (which sounds like pop being played through a car crash) at least this app blunts the trauma by making most of the calls a lot cheaper! I would give 5 stars but sometimes it puts you through to the wrong department or cannot connect - doesn't happen often and knowing I'm not being ripped off twice makes me less likely to Hulk out. Thanks!
