Potential, but room for improvement!
Overall I like the card and have already recommended it to a family member. However, I have found it unable to work on several occasions (other cards that I was therefore forced to use worked just fine), particularly (but not only) with regard to online transactions. Also beware that when you are told that conversions will likely be gradual over the chosen period (for example seven days)..... it isn’t the case, even with very common and heavily traded currencies such as pounds and euros. I had anticipated that choosing an ‘up to seven days’ conversation would mean I’d have at least a little euros available by the time that I landed in Amsterdam.... only to find that I instead had to upgrade to an ‘instant’ conversion (at the full 2% charge) on the whole transaction, even though I was literally only a few hours from the expiration of the full seven days they’d had to make some of the conversion. I felt quite cheated, as I could have got a better instant rate seven days earlier or selected the three day option!

Our 7 day swap option means your swap will take exactly 7 days to complete, so if you made the swap at 2pm the swap will finish in 7 days at 2pm. We're sorry you felt cheated by this. It’s good but still a bit of a way to go
I have had some hiccups since using my card. I think you can now use the card anywhere in the world which is a bonus. My first use in Peru saw my card retained in the cash point as the currency was not supported. Bad start to my travels. Since then I’ve used it in Australia and I am currently in NZ. Beware of loading your card by using the app. Several times I have had a problem with this. Two times it has loaded twice for my single request. This obviously affects your current account balance. The money goes to load instantly but takes 3-5 days to get back. I now only ever load by bank transfer and I advise anyone do the same. Weswap not having a 24 hour worldwide telephone support line is a big problem to me. This issue needs resolving above all else and as soon as possible. The email support is generally excellent but sometimes you wait a few days for a reply. This is not good when £1000 has loaded twice!!!

Hi, Thank you very much for your feedback. We are really sorry you had trouble using the card. It looks like you tried to use the card in Peru before we supported Global Spending. We are now supporting this feature so next time you plan to travel to a country where we don't support the official currency, all you have to do is leave the funds in your home wallet and every transaction will occur using the Mastercard rate and a 2% instant fee. With regards to loading, deep apologies for the trouble in the double loads. It seems as you may have loaded when we had an outage which caused the data to duplicate itself leading to double loads. We are looking at solving this very soon. If you contact us on the same day that the double load is made, it is possible to have the transaction released on the same day but this may vary between banks. We are looking at having a 24 hour customer service or help desk and we will release more details on this very soon. Once again apologies for the trouble and thank you for the feedback. Used WeSwap when away in Amsterdam (first time using them) I had no problem
With using the card in shops, however when I went to get money out of a ATM I wasn’t paying attention and I didn’t take my card out the ATM machine in time so it ended up getting eaten. Contacted the chat team (as it was a Sunday) and within 30 minutes or so they had sorted me out, sending me a new replacement card and gave me a 0% swap rate so I could transfer my euros back into pounds, then they transferred the money into my bank account a couple of days later so i could enjoy the rest of the trip. The team were super helpful and really pleasant to talk to and helped me with everything! App easy to use and follow. Easy to load money on, would recommend
