Very useful for diagnosing wifi problems

Great app for checking out wifi issues and which channel to set your router to by seeing what your neighbours are using. Also good for working out poor wifi spots in your house by taking the macbook to various rooms in the house. Helped me work out that I improved wifi reception in the bedrooms by moving the router downstairs to an outside wall rather than where it was which was an inside wall near the house centre which was rather counter intuitive as the distance was increased until I worked out it also meant that the line of sight of wifi signal was going through less brick work due to the reduced angle.

Very Very Useful App

Had people complaining that their wifi was rubbish. I was able to show them there was conflict with other nearby access points. I would say that conflicting wifi Access Points would be the major reason for poor connection speeds, and this certainly finds conflicts. Routers are meant to find a clear channel but rarely do this welll, so just get the app and have a look at what other networks are around.

Strong Signal Here

I've been using this app for years and it never lets you down when trying to sort WiFi issues around the home and office. Easily see which WiFi networks are around you and likely to be interferring with your signal. Essential when you're setting up a new router or WiFi extenders to make sure everything is working smoothly.

Part of the essentials for every Mac users.
