Mixed bag

The hardware came way later than expected, but it’s new so I’ll let that slide. Setting them up with HomeKit is easy enough and managing them through HomeKit is great. This app, however, feels like trash. Spent ages trying to connect two plugs. One’s working the other isn’t. Both are fine in Apple’s Home app. Clicking the ‘lightning’ icon crashes out of the app every time. And I’m bored of getting an ‘Oops’ alert all the time when trying to use it.

I’d say the plugs are great (but have a very loud relay so click heavily when turning on/off). But just get the HomeKit compatible ones and skip this app (unless you have to update firmware, then I wish you luck).

Impossible to set up using the app

I just cannot set the plugs up using the app. The app instructs you to join the plugs wifi so you can commence the set it up process. However when you join the plugs Wifi, iOS adds the plug to your network and the app no longer recognises the plug!

You can set the plug up with HomeKit and it works around 80% of the time but you cannot use any of the features on the app once set up via HomeKit this way.

Maybe my plug is defective, maybe the app is useless? I did contact support at wifi plug but they just pointed me towards some web pages that didn’t address the issue I am experiencing.

I can’t give less than 1 star

Absolute trash. Buy Elgato. I have 2 plugs and right from the start they drop off the network after 2 days. Well here I am still trying to get these to work 10 months later. Support keeps telling me they are fine. I just don’t believe them. I have a BT Hub 6 (preciously has a 5) and they have to be rebooted every 2 and a bit days. Yet every other HomeKit device I have stays up. Do not waste your money as I did. Can not recommend
