Only Works Once
I was able to run this application once. It found and connected to my Nokia Lumia 920 as expected, I was able to take a brief look around the program and sync a few things. I quickly came to the conclusion that it was very basic and should still be v1.x, not v3 due to a general lack of refinement, features and polish.
After closing the app I went to open it again a short while later and found the main window wouldn’t show. If I deleted the app-created phone sync profile/settings from the Mac to get back to a “clean” install, I could get the app to open and re-detect the phone, but then I have to re-sync the whole thing again, putting in all the settings again, and it would only work for that session. If I closed the app and tried to open it again, the main window didn’t show, back to square one.
So this app works OK, but once only for me. Looking through the other reviews, I seem to be a unique case, which is good, but no comfort to me.
Surprised Apple Allowed this on App Store.
i’m unimpressed with the Lumia due to the lack of interest in presenting a Finished Article. The hardware shows promise, but the OS and Apps like this one feels like they just gave up at about the time Apple started making iTunes Windows compatible.(yes i know that was preLumia)
i’ve had mine since September and am disappointed more by the things i find that it just can’t do, than by finding out that those basics every Smartphone has, have just been ignored.
i was hoping to be able to transfer my Contacts/Address Book from my Mac, but so far the method has eluded me!
At least, this App certainly doesn’t seem to be able to help out.
i could be mistaken, so enlighten me. Please!
Just in case, yes, it transferred my iTunes Lib.
This application, when it works, is average, at best. I managed to sync my music with it at one point and, although it duplicated a few artists on the phone that didn't appear in my iTunes, the music had successfully synced onto the phone. Also, the photos from the camera successfully synced into my iPhoto library quite neatly and easily. However, ever since it stopped working a while ago it's been very inconsistent. I even sent the phone off to repair, thinking it was the phone, but the application still fails to sync at all now the phone has returned from being repaired. Although the phone now connects to my Mac, where before I went through a long period where it wouldn't connect at all, it doesn't take notice of any of the changes I make in preferences (as if I haven't renamed the phone a dozen times!) and doesn't allow me to press 'sync' (as in it stays grey).
