No crashes here
Just been reading the magazine for the first time on here. No crashes like others have reported on my iPad mini retina. Although I did have an issue where one of the articles wasn't fully completed so I couldn't read it all. Liking the style of the magazine anyway.
Solid content; awful user experience
Firstly, the content is as you'd expect from Wired - usually solid, sometimes excellent. Definitely worth the money.
But, the app is awful. It's full of gimmicks and unintuitive widgets. For example, in a recent article on Smart Cities, I was tapping the numbers (on an annoyingly moving page) only to realise that I had to slide a side panel away to see the detail. How could anyone be expected to guess that?
Also, setting aside the unintuitive nature, the content is inaccessible and doesn't give folks who need large fonts or who use screen readers any opportunity to access the content.
Two stars only because the content is decent. Simplify and focus on user experience, please.
The Subscription DOES NOT WORK
this app is IMPOSSIBLE. I have paid and can see my receipts from Apple but the app will not recognise my subscription. It keeps asking for a sign in (which is based on your print/web subscription) - so if you but via Apple.....??? Add tp that the "forgot password" crashes the app too!! Constantly on danger of buying issues again - i have already. Annoying as hell - do not buy until they sort this out!
