Description
The LSE library in partnership with Arts Council England has created a mobile application to enable users experiencing Women’s history through London’s streets.
Women’s Walks combines smartphone technology with the fascinating and diverse archive material from The Women’s Library @ LSE, transforming the collection into an engaging and interactive historical journey.
The app allows users to choose from a selection of three walks: Campaigning for women’s suffrage; Women and parliament; Pioneers of science and medicine.
The app uses an interactive map to guide users through London’s street to historical sites and allows them to interact with a variety of digitised archive material in form of images, documents and audio clips relevant to each site.
Please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
What's New in Version 3
app name change from womans walks to womens walks and new graphics.

Customer Reviews
Lovely idea but….
… It doesn’t work very well. The Choose Route section crashes every time. A pity because it was quite promising.
