After a while the game becomes incompleteable and isn't fun to play after that :(
This is a well rounded game. It's pace is good, teaching you techniques and the physics of the game without the extensive tutorial that other games have
The learning curve is extremely good. It is challenging enough that you can't whizz through it, but easy enough that you don't get discouraged. However is a level is too hard or you just don't see the answer, you can skip it.
At the end- game there are some extremely challenging puzzles and once you've completed it, you can go back and try to complete extra "OCD" challenges on each of the levels. You can't really get bored easily. This game I found really addictive, but unlike others, it doesn't use up your life.
This puzzle game also has an exploration element to it. It has an unexpected, interesting and unique story to follow, accompanied by a touch of humour. However it doesn't fill in all the story leaving you to imagine and theorise the whole universe.
The art style is very unique and proves that games can be art. It is not too cartoony but not too overly realistic. I think it has just the perfect soft pastely art style other games would really benefit from.
My only concern is that the game is quite short for a paid game, but that isn't too much of a problem.
That last paragraph lied. The controls are also quite finnikey and hard to get used to.
This game is well balanced for both completionists and casual gamers who want to play this game one time through
All in all, 2D boy have made an excellent puzzle game, definitely worth the price. (HD only Benifits iPads etc.)
I would score this around 4.5 stars for me, but since I can't I'll just give it the full five. (Which an awful lot of other reviews give other apps undeservingly.)
P.S I gave it a 4 due to the controls
Thats a definite yes
