What's New in Version 3.4.6
We've been scrubbing and polishing to make our app shiny and bright for 2017. What does that mean? We've cleaned out the bugs, dusted in the corners and made a few minor improvements.
Has really improved!
I was finding that all my bits of paper were becoming too confusing once again, so I hunted for a highly rated to do list app and found Wunderlist. However, it seems that I had purchased it a few years ago but had forgotten about it because it was a bit too simplistic at that time so wasn’t useful enough for work. But now it’s amazing! I can create lists with lots of things to do in each, can add photos, links and notes to each item as well as sub tasks. And of course there are deadlines in there. I can share the lists with others by adding an email address of other users so it is now really useful for my business. It is on my phone, laptop and computer, so when I am next at the warehouse for example, I can check the list for ‘things to do at the warehouse’ and update it accordingly. Other members of my team can also access the lists I have shared with them and update things as needed. I receive notifcations when notes have been added and when items have been completed. It saves loads of emails and not being sure exactly what they refer too. Now we can ‘chat’ in the actual item on the to do list. It links up between mac and PC products too without problem.
Loving it, very easy, thorough and extremely useful. I certainly won’t be forgetting about it again.
Best manager I have ever used, still...
This is the second time I have come back to Wunderlist. The first time I left I wanted to try Apple’s own notes, and for a while I enjoyed the experience, I soon got bored with the layoout, design and functionality so returned to Wunderlist about a year ago now. I stayed with iOS nots untill the recent iOS 8 update to conincide with OS X Yosemite. Unfortunatley for me the design changes I did not like, especially the up / down swipe management which had changed from the previous left / right, the sync between iOS notes and my Mac also became worse, with many notes for some strange reason not syncing between my 2 most used devices, my iPhone and my Mac, this was the last straw for me! About 3 or 4 months ago now I came back again to Wunderlist, just weeks before their v2 update, and my what an update! I am very very happy to be back with Wunderlist, I love the design, the functionality, and the syncing is spot on everytime. I am not making the same mistake again, I’m home now, and I’m staying this time!
This updated review comes about 18 months after the above review. During this time I have played with Apple’s default Notes app and Google’s own note app, and I am glad to say that Wunderlist is still exactley that a Wonder List!!
I can’t rate this app highly enough. I’ve tried countless tasking apps over the years and, despite my best efforts, never managed to stick with one; either they had too many options, or not enough. Wanderlist strikes the perfect balance for me. It has a pleasing and intuitive interface that is great for visually-minded people. The scheduling and grouping features are simple and powerful (you can view your ’to-dos’ within individual lists, or see all your tasks grouped togeter by ‘today’ or ‘this week’). You also have the ability to add notes to tasks, which can be useful for structuring things like conference calls, containing shopping lists, etc. It’s a great tool for freelancers who find themselves working on multiple projects, with multiple responsibilities. Now perhaps I can finally find that elusive ‘work / life’ balance ...
