Yahoo News Digest provides a definitive summary of all the important, need-to-know news. Digests are delivered twice a day - once in the morning and once in the evening. All the top stories are summarized and presented with the key information that you need to stay on top of what’s happening.
Each story is created from multiple sources to present the essential bits and pieces of information, known as “Atoms”. Atoms are key quotes, images, videos, stock tickers, maps, infographs, and Wikipedia excerpts among others. These atomic units provide a unique context to the news. Our stories are both algorithmically and hand curated to ensure high quality, and come with a textual summary.
Yahoo News Digest makes your reading experience comprehensive, effortless, and complete, and is customized for both iPhone and iPad. If you get your News Digest on an iPad, you’ll also enjoy a weekly Katie Couric video show, the ability to customize when you receive your news and, in the US edition, extra news categories called Sections which include atomized stories on a whole range of topics.
We are committed to building the best mobile experience and are interested in your feedback.

What's New in Version 1.7.3
Bug fixes and performance improvements.
A great app
I love this app, with having a busy lifestyle the snapshot format is perfect. The level of detail is just enough and it's easy to read. The links to further information are so useful and I like that it's more magazine style with photos/ pictures, videos etc although, I am amazed at how many regular typos/spelling errors there are. I can appreciate there is pressure to pull the stories together in little time but I would have thought a company like Yahoo would be hot on proofreading. I'm being picky, but I would have given this app 5 stars if it weren't for so many obvious mistakes in the text. I will continue to highly recommend this app to others nonetheless.
Nice magazine feel
This news app has more the feel of a Sunday supplement or quality news magazine like Time or The Economist than it does a newspaper. It looks like a high quality weekend read. But if you want the latest stories, and the most up-to-date headlines, I would stick with online newspapers or Google News, via its online site. By necessity, news apps are going to filter the news and edit it, and all that is going to take time. This news app is more news magazine than newspaper.
Get what you're given
This app is the basic of news apps ever, you can't even customise what news you want to read. You just get what you're given which for some people might be okay but for me I like to read the news I want to read not what I'm told to read. As for the Apple Watch counterpart well I'm just going to have to wait for that one, why because it's only available in the United States. Yahoo if you're going to take the time to launch an app globally then at least follow through with the Apple Watch counterpart. Because of the lack of these basic features I have to delete this app.
