One of the best free apps
Very useful app and convenient for my smart phone - particularly fond of whatever personalisation statistics you use to suggest recipes I would like. However - I find the search functionalities on the actual website more extensive with features such as 'with or without ingredient' or being able to sort by relevance and popularity which I'm surprised aren't integrated into the app. I do actually move from my phone to my desktop just to use those features so they are surprisingly significant to someone like myself so perhaps this is possible to integrate? Also - many of the ingredients or nutrition on the yummly listing do not match the original author. Not too much of an issue with ingredients and quantities as they will be shown when you inevitably have to go to the original posters page but with nutrition however recipes from the likes of Flora and Stork claim to have no fat which is a BIG no no and needs resolving. Overall though I'm very satisfied with my own little recipe search and save app.
I love this app!!
Perfect for when you're at the supermarket and can't think what you want for dinner. The calories count is also great when you're counting. And I love the fact you can search under a certain produce and it pops up with recipes - you need never have random left over ingredients in the fridge again!
My only gripe would be it is very temperamental. Incredibly frustrating when you're cooking your meal and it constantly says 'oops there's a problem in the kitchen'. Especially when time is of the essence. Please get this fixed :)
So much choice!
I'm a vegetarian, so at first I was worried there'd be a limited, boring choice of options for suitable recipes...how wrong I was! Loads of great options. I discovered this on my new Apple TV, and the large screen images really make a difference, or should I say they really made my mouth water!
