Ángeles del Infierno

About Ángeles del Infierno

A metal band formed in San Sebastian, Spain, in the early '80s by guitarist Roberto Alvarez, bassist Santi Rubio, vocalist Juan Gallardo, and drummer Iñaki Munitz, Angeles del Infierno released their first album, Pacto con el Diablo, in 1983, followed by 1985's Diabolica. The success of the mini-LP Instinto Animal and 1986's Joven Para Morir made the band a major player in the Spanish rock community, with sufficient popularity to warrant the release of a greatest-hits album in 1987. The following year, Angeles del Infierno recorded 666 in Madrid. The album was followed by a Mexican and U.S. tour. Stephan Galfas produced 1993's A Cara o Cruz. In 2000, Angeles del Infierno played in front of 28,000 people at the Viña Rock festival. ~ Drago Bonacich
