Following a late 1980s stint with punk freakshow G.G. Allin, the impressively eclectic drummer/ guitarist Chris Brokaw joined slowcore pioneers Codeine in 1990. Leaving after 1992's BARELY REAL, Brokaw formed the blues-influenced Come with singer Thalia Zedek. While recording with Come through the 1990s, the tireless Brokaw also played with Steve Wynn, Pullman, the Willard Grant Conspiracy, Consonant, and many others.
