About Corinne Morris
Cellist Corinne Morris had a promising career interrupted by injury, but has mounted a strong comeback despite predictions that she would never play again. Mstislav Rostropovich was a strong backer in exposing Morris on the concert scene. A Morris recital was broadcast on the BBC 3 radio network, a typical stepping stone to a strong British career, but soon after that Morris began to suffer from debilitating shoulder pain that made it impossible for her to play. She sought treatment from a sports medicine practitioner, and after a five-year layoff Morris began giving concerto performances and issued a recording, The Macedonian Sessions. Morris returned in 2017 with Chrysalis, an album of Baroque and early Classical concertos. ~ James Manheim
