With a deep back catalog of albums, some of them Top Ten hits, Guilherme & Santiago are a sertanejo duo from Goiás, Brazil, that rose to fame around the turn of the century. Founded in 1995, the duo is comprised of Guilherme Herickson and Santiago Henzzo, who were born in Goiânia, Goiás, and hail from Jataí, Goiás. Following four self-titled albums generally known as Guilherme & Santiago, Vols. 1-4, the duo reached new heights of success during the mid-2000s with the albums Azul (2002), Nosso Amor (2003), and Chovendo Estrelas (2004). They commemorated their ten-year anniversary in 2005 with the acoustic live album 10 Anos Acústico ao Vivo. In fact, the majority of the albums they released during the latter half of the 2000s were live recordings. Guilherme & Santiago began the next decade with Tudo Tem um Porque (2010), a Top Ten hit on the Brazilian albums chart. ~ Jason Birchmeier
