About Janet Devlin

Northern Irish singer/songwriter Janet Devlin first made her mark performing on the U,K,'s 2011 season of The X Factor before embarking on her own path with the release of her debut album, 2014's folk-driven Running with Scissors. Growing up in the village of Gortin, Country Tyrone, Devlin originally posted videos of covers to her social media channels before heading to London in 2011 to audition for the X Factor. Catching the public's attention with her powerful but heart-touching performances, Devlin embarked on the show's live tour with the other finalists at the show's end. Over the next few years she recorded her own material -- co-writing with the likes of Newton Faulkner and Jack Savoretti -- before eventually releasing her debut album in 2014, the alternative pop and folk-driven, Running with Scissors. A follow-up EP, Duvet Daze, appeared in 2015, while Devlin returned to the studio to record the holiday-themed December Daze. The following year saw her deliver her second holiday-themed release, Little Lights. Over the next few years, Devlin started work on her sophomore album, with the first results appearing at the beginning of 2020 with the release of the single "Honest Men." ~ Rich Wilson
