About Jess Cornelius

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My parents had cassettes that they would play in the car. The Rolling Stones' 'Beggars Banquet' was one, Tom Waits, Lucinda Williams, Talking Heads.. For some reason I hated the Leonard Cohen one, "The Future", but he's one of my faves now. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Meg Baird, Furling Sarah Mary Chadwick, Roses Always Die Scott Walker, Scott 4 How can you really choose just 3 all-time faves? Anyway I love these records and go back to them time and time again. The songs are good, but it's also the mood they create. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “People Move On” “I wrote People Move On amid the disintegration of a pretty significant and life-changing relationship. This song feels like me trying to trick myself away from fear -- like it was an act of manifestation, propelling us into the future.” What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing festivals around the world, touring the US with King Gizzard, Ty Segall... making a record with Mikal Cronin, all of it.
