In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember at about 8 years old hearing "Stand By Me" on the radio, & it was the first time I picked apart a song by all its instruments. Those strings just soared, and that seemed so fascinating to me. Music became so much more intricate in my head. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ben Taylor, Listening Jack Johnson, In Between Dreams Radical Face, The Family Tree: The Roots These albums came into my life at a time when I needed to expand, and they helped me hear things beyond what I knew. Even though they are nothing like what I'm writing now, they are inexorably a part of me in all I do. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Green” This song is special to me because I wasn't trying to write anything really, and yet, it came out as the most honest song about myself I possibly could have written. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My first Key West Songwriters Festival. At the crossroads of my songs finally being good enough, my on-stage performance honed, & having the right audience to play for. They gave me a standing ovation in the middle of "Green" - how amazing that was! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There are too many bucket list items to name. That will never be done, because I'll keep adding. In short though: have a #1 song, play at the Grand Ole Opry, and compose all the music for a Disney movie!
