About LoneLady

Inspired by post-punk legacy of her hometown, Manchester, England, as well as classic college rock, Lonelady released her first single, "Hi Ho Bastard/Fear No More," on Filthy Home in 2005; its raw yet atmospheric sound drew comparisons to Scout Niblett. That fall, Lonelady issued the Have No Past EP. In 2007, she connected with two musicians, drummer Oid and keyboardist China Tom, and the project became a trio; the "Army/Intuition" single arrived early that year. That fall, Lonelady inaugurated Too Pure's singles club with "Early the Haste Comes/Joy"; it marked the band's first sessions in an official studio. Lonelady signed to Warp and released the single "Immaterial" prior to issuing the album Nerve Up in 2010. Lonelady's second album, Hinterland, arrived in 2015. ~ Heather Phares
