Mo Beatz

Once strictly a producer, the South Carolina-based Mo Beatz was driven to expand his skill set due to impatience with his rhyming collaborators. He developed a flow that complemented his sparse, booming, and melodic beats geared for the streets, though he continued to work with other rappers. Just over half of the tracks on Introduction of da Paper Boy, released in 2013, featured guest appearances. The following year's Paper Boy Reloaded raised his profile with a list of guests -- including Shyst Red and Mykko Montana -- that was a little more notable. "Bread Winner," on which he was joined by Trina, was issued as a single. ~ Andy Kellman
