About Monét X Change
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Playing Brandy's 'Have You Ever' over and over and over again, while crying into my pillow when I was 9 years old. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brandy, Never Say Never Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill SZA, Ctrl Lauryn Hill taught me what R&B was, Brandy taught me to appreciate R&B, SZA showed us what R&B can be. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Gently” This song is so special to me because it is the first true R&B song I made. In this record I allow the fullness of my bass voice to shine and vibe. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Outside of all the amazing things the world has seen me do, it would definitely have to be GREY RAINBOW VOL. 1 and 2. They're my first full length true R&B projects. I love music so much and it makes me exited that the world gets to see that. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Performing at and winning six Grammy's. Don't ask me how I know its six...I just do.
