Brothers Toshi and Sharib Sabri are accomplished playback singers in their own right, but they’ve reached new heights in Bollywood as an innovative music director duo. • Both brothers tried to kickstart their careers by participating in different TV singing shows, such as Star Voice of India (Toshi) and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 (Sharib). • Their Bollywood breakthrough came with “Maahi” from the soundtrack of RAAZ - The Mystery Continues (2009). The rolling, romantic melody was composed by the duo and features longing vocals by Toshi. • Sharib-Toshi seamlessly glide between understated, mesmerising ballads—such as “Kabhi Jo Baadal Barse”, sung by Arijit Singh (Jackpot, 2013)—and full-blown, style-hopping dance numbers like “Pyar Ki” (Housefull 3, 2016), which they sing alongside a spirited Bollywood crew. • Fans of qawwali legend Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, the pair paid homage to the singer in 2018 by providing the music and vocals to a contemporary, flute-laden cover of Sufi favourite “Saason Ki Maala”.
