About Superthriller

Brothers Ben and Max Ringham and friend Andrew Roland founded Superthriller in 2003 as an offshoot of their multimedia performance group Shunt. They released a handful of well-received 7" singles before their debut, Superthriller 1, hit the shelves in 2005. Well-received and certainly hip, the album made a nice buzz and, legend has it, was discovered during a Paris record-shopping spree by Beck -- who subsequently asked Superthriller to support him on his 2005 European tour. The group remained in a rigorous festival-touring mode for the rest of that year and most of 2006. The Blank Album was "released" that summer and was an actual blank CD, onto which purchasers could download their choice of rare tracks and remixes by using a special included code. This stopgap effort allowed the band extra time to complete work on their second proper album, Superthriller 2, scheduled for release in 2007. ~ J. Scott McClintock
